Wendy’s Will Pay $400K Settlement Over Child Labor Probe in Massachusetts

The allegations are similar to those the state’s Attorney General brought against Chipotle

红包扫雷源码免公众号wendy’s has agreed to pay $400k in a settlement over allegations that the company violated child labor laws at its 46 locations in massachusetts. from ag maura healey, the office received a complaint about a teenage employee working too late in the evening, and beyond the nine-hour daily legal limit. the ag office estimated there were nearly 2,100 violations by wendy’s in the state, but healey stresses the company “came into compliance as a result of our investigation and took meaningful steps to ensure a safe and productive work environment for its young workers.”

The charges are similar to those Healey recently brought against Chipotle and . Chipotle agreed to pay $1.37 million for nearly 13,253 child labor violations, $500k of which would go to a fund educating young people about child labor laws. Healey says $200k of Wendy’s settlement will go to the same fund.
